How it works
Streaming to YouTube and Facebook from the church computer means uploading the service twice, which church internet often cannot do. GatherRelay takes one upload and sends the copies from our server instead.
- Sign upMake a free account for your church. 14 days free, no card needed.
- Add where to streamPaste your YouTube and Facebook stream keys once. They are kept encrypted.
- Point your software at usGatherRelay Studio, OBS or vMix sends one stream to GatherRelay.
- Go liveWe send it on to every place at once, in the same quality you sent it.
What your church needs
- A computer running GatherRelay Studio, OBS, vMix or any software that can stream to a custom RTMP or SRT address.
- An upload speed of about 8 Mbps for 1080p (4 Mbps is enough for 720p). Run a speed test during a normal Sunday.
- Stream keys from YouTube Studio and Facebook Live Producer.
What happens on our side
- Our server checks your stream key and that your plan is active.
- It sends the same stream to each place you added, without re-encoding, so the quality stays exactly as you sent it.
- If YouTube or Facebook drops the connection, that one place reconnects on its own while the others keep going.
- If your church's internet drops, the server waits and carries on as soon as it comes back.
- It records what arrives, so you can download the service afterwards.
