Setup guides

Your server address and stream key are in your dashboard under Stream setup. Keep the key private, like a password.

Get your YouTube key

  1. Open YouTube Studio and click Create → Go live.
  2. Choose Stream (not webcam).
  3. Copy the Stream key. In GatherRelay, add a YouTube place and paste it.
  4. Turn on Auto-start and Auto-stop so it follows your stream.

Get your Facebook key

  1. Open your church Page, then Live video (Live Producer).
  2. Choose Streaming software.
  3. Tick Use a persistent stream key so it stays the same every week.
  4. Copy the key and add a Facebook place in GatherRelay.

GatherRelay Studio

  1. In the studio, open Outputs and add a custom (RTMP or SRT) output.
  2. Paste the server address and stream key from your dashboard.
  3. Press Go live. Your dashboard shows the stream arriving.

OBS Studio

  1. Settings → Stream: Service Custom….
  2. Server: the address from your dashboard. Stream Key: your GatherRelay key.
  3. Settings → Output: bitrate 6000 kbps for 1080p (4500 for 720p), keyframe interval 2 seconds.
  4. Press Start Streaming.

vMix

  1. Click the cog next to Stream.
  2. Destination Custom RTMP Server; paste the address and key.
  3. Quality: H.264, 6000 kbps, 1080p. Then click Start.

Weak or unreliable internet: use SRT

If your software supports SRT (GatherRelay Studio, OBS and vMix do), use the SRT address from your dashboard. SRT resends lost data, so the picture holds up on busy connections.
